This is a bit of an intermediate to advanced level design. It's fully customizable, and you can find a bunch of hair tutorials for dolls on my channel, to customize your centaur doll even more.

For the doll above, I used “Buff” (Red Heart Super Saver) for the doll upper body, “Aran” (Red Heart Super Saver) for the horse body, “Charcoal” (Red Heart Super Saver) to make the hooves, and a combination of “Charcoal” and “Black” (Red Heart Super Saver) to make the tail and hair.

For the doll below, I used “Heather”(Loops & Threads) for the body, “Rust” (Vanna’s Choice) and “White” (Red Heart Super Saver) for the horse body, “Black” (Red Heart Super Saver) for the hooves and a combination of “Rust”, and “Toast” (Red Heart Soft) for the tail and hair. You can use any color to customize your doll.

You can find the free video tutorial, and other tutorials, on my youtube channel at https://youtube.com/c/faerierings

To make the doll upper body of the centaur, I used the technique in my realistic amigurumi doll tutorial, which you can see here:

Crochet Horse Doll Pattern + Free Video Tutorial

This is a bit of an intermediate to advanced level design, I'd say. It's easy to customize the size,  shape or color of the horse to your preferences.

Amigurumi generally uses very little yarn, and I used much less than a full skein. I used “Aran” from Red Heart Super Saver for the body, “Charcoal” to make the hooves, and a combination of “Charcoal” and “Black” to make the mane and tail.
