How to Crochet Slipper Boots Pattern/Video Tutorial
Simple slipper boots with twisted cables running up the sides of the ankle.

Sizing is fully customize-able, but specific sizing info is given for US standard women's sizes. Make these boots as tall or as short as you like.
You can customize the size of these boots pretty easily, either by using a store-bought slipper as the base (I've also seen people use flip-flops as the bottoms of their slippers), or you can make your own slipper bottoms in one of three provided sizes: narrow, regular, and wide.
I used 2 skeins of Loops and Threads Charisma for my slipper boots, but if you made them shorter you might only need 1 skein. You'll also need some worsted or aran weight yarn if you're using a store-bought slipper, to sew a foundation row around the slipper bottom and to create loops for your bulky weight yarn. If you're doing that, you'll also need something sharp, like a sharp yarn needle, to poke holes around the base of your slipper.

Crochet Fox and Wolf Ears Patterns
Crochet Fox Costume Ears Pattern
$1.50 on Ravelry.com
Crochet Wolf Costume Ears Pattern
$1.50 on Ravelry.com
Realistic looking wolf costume ears made with crochet. Making this pattern in super bulky weight rather than regular bulky weight results in a sturdier, and more fluff-able, pair of ears.
To get the realistic furry look, I just lightly brushed my yarn after finishing my pieces using a hair brush. But if you prefer the fuzzy look of Homespun un-brushed, you don’t have to brush your yarn, you can just leave it as-is.
I couldn’t find a Homespun Thick & Quick in a shade I liked for the black part, but if you prefer you can use a different type of bulky weight yarn than homespun, such as Wool Ease Thick & Quick. It will work the same, it just won’t have that fuzzy look un-brushed. You could just brush the yarn, however.
Or you could just use 2 strands of regular bulky Homespun at the same time for the bulky grey/brown, and black parts if you want that homespun look (which is what I did).

- Aran Weight Yarn, Red (Red Heart Super Saver, “Burgundy”)
- Crochet Hook, Size “E” (3.5 mm)

red st open and CC to black.
Sc 2 using black, leave 2nd
st open and CC to red. Sc 2 using red, leave 2nd red st
open and CC to black. Close mag circ. (8 sts total)
2. Continue
using black. Inc every st of row (sc 2 times into each st).
Into each red st of prev row, sc only into back lps. Sl st to 1st st of row. Cut off yarn (16 sts total)
3. If desired, cut off long tail of red yarn and outline red sts to create more defined hourglass shape. Sew in remaining ends. Base of spider finished.

ch 12, sl st into 2nd ch from

Continue
around base. Sl st 7 into sts around base before creating spinnerets. (In the pic it says mandibles, it's supposed to say spinnerets)
7. To create spinnerets:
(Note: same as creating mandibles) Ch 4. Sl st to 3rd ch
from hook. Sl st to next ch. Ch 4 more. Sl st to 3rd ch
from hook. Sl st to next ch. Sl st to same st around base where
spinnerets begin.

mandibles begin. Cut off yarn. Sew in end.

Realistic Crochet Skull Mask Pattern
Realistic skull mask made out of crochet. Pattern is available for $7.00 on Ravelry.com
buy now
Pattern has photos, and there is a video tutorial.
I’ve made several sizes using different sized hooks, and yarns. The smallest size (which came to about 20 inches around,) was made using a “B” hook and worsted weight yarn. The 2 middle size (which came to about 21 and 22 inches) were made using a “B” and “D” hook and Aran weight yarn.
The largest size (which came to about 23 inches) was made using an “E” hook and Aran weight yarn.
I used 2 different colors of Aran or worsted weight yarns (black and white). I only used about half a skein of white yarn, and used some scraps of black yarn, because it didn’t require much black. I used between 100 and 160 yards of wht (depending on the size) and between 20 and 40 yards of black. The Aran brand I used was Red Heart brand, and the worsted weight I used was Caron Simply Soft, because I had it on hand, but if you prefer a different brand you could use any.
The last part of the pattern is a bit complex but there is a video tutorial you can watch to help with some of the more tricky bits. Find that tutorial here:
